Officially spring will be here (in the northern hemisphere) in a few weeks. I want to rush things along and declare it spring now; especially after the brutal winter we here in the mid-Atlantic states have endured.
1. Spring vacation, will you take one? Where?
It is highly unlikely there will be a go-someplace-you’ve-never-been-before vacation.
Spring time love.
2. Do you become friskier as the temperatures outside heat up?
Happier, yes. Friskier, no.
3. Do you flirt more in spring vs. other times of the year?
Generally, I don’t flirt … well … ever. That requires a level of confidence that I simply don’t possess.
4. Do you dress sexier in the spring?
I don’t think so. Obviously, the absence of a winter outerwear makes it seem sexier. My wardrobe is my wardrobe. It tends to be predicated by activity more than weather.
5. What day of the week do you have sex most often?
This was a tough one and I really had to think about it. I’m going to go with Thursday.
Falling in love takes one-fifth of a second
It takes a fifth-of-a-second for the euphoria-inducing chemicals to start acting on the brain when you are looking at that special someone. –Source
6. Do you use kissing as an important way to test out a new mate? Good kissers, keep and move forward to another stage in a budding relationship. Bad kissers, get pruned and dumped.
Here’s the thing, I’ve not had a “bad kisser” since high school and … let’s just say that was very long time ago. At that time, dating was more about the status than the kissing. ‘Nuff said there.
Presently, I’m self assured enough that if I felt the kissing were bad I would simply offer suggestions on my kissing preferences. A good man is hard to find. Kissing can be refined with instruction while a personality cannot.
7. What do you expect from marriage?
a. safety and solidarity and security
b. a journey towards self-fulfillment and self-actualization with a partner that ‘gets’ you.
Both. Yes, that’s right, I want it all because I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like me!
8. Acts of love & kindness. Which would mean more to you:
a. Taking your partner a cup of tea in bed (or receiving that cup of tea)
b. Giving or receiving a box of chocolates or flowers
Staying within the confines of the question as dictated, since I really don’t enjoy tea, that gesture would be lost on me. That aside, chocolate … I’ll pretty much follow you anywhere. If your box of chocolates contains Godiva Truffles with the little illustrated pamphlet that tells you what’s inside before you bite it … I may just propose. Yes, I know, I’m already married. For Godiva, I would consider bigamy.
Bonus: In your late teens or early 20s did you take wild spring break vacations with friends? What is the wildest, craziest, sexiest thing you did on a “gone wild” spring break?
Alas, TMI friends, I’m a pretty boring chick. I attended University as an adult. I did have a Spring break vacation with my then best friend (who was old enough to be my daughter). It was a wild and crazy time. You should have been there!
We sat with our laptops, on the screened-in balcony of the condo we were renting, overlooking the ocean, and plowed through the Spring break projects, that were assigned by the sadistic professors, who had no intention of allowing us to have a Spring break, aside from the change in geography. Jealous yet? Yeah, I thought not.
